Space elevators constituted one of 13 tracks at this conference hosted by the Chinese Society of Astronautics, China High-Tech Industrialization Association, China Association of Remote Sensing Application, Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and International Peace Alliance (Space) and co-hosted by the International Academy of Astronautics, International Astronautical Federation, Space Foundation, Association of Space Explorers, International Space University, Rice University’s International Space Medicine Summit and the George H.W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations.
